Universities
Castilla y León has attained a very high university population in recent years. It is currently second only to the Community of Madrid in terms of enrolment in the Spanish university system.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, almost 73,000 students opted for the education offered by one of the nine universities, four public and five private, located in the region.
